The development of the device for the electrolyte production is an integral part of the successful progress during the scale-up of the VRFB. The method for the electrolyte production is based on the reductive dissolution of the vanadium(V) oxide in diluted sulfuric acid. The testing of construction and the evaluation of two membrane flow electrolyzers of different geometries (i.e., planparallel and coaxial) for the electrolyte preparation with the capacity proportional to L/day is conducted.
